RACING PIRANHA SCULPTURE SPEC

This sculpture captures the aggressive look and the hydrodynamic shape of the Red Bellied Piranha.

Commissioned by Rubens Barrichello 2007.

All parts and materials used in this sculpture are from the BAR and Honda Grand Prix cars as listed below.

Sculpture limited to ten pieces.

Dorsal and underside fins: Ti welding wire with helicopter tape vacuumed covering. This tape is used for the protection of wing and body work leading edges.

Nostrils: Captive nuts 040 D3 0005 used to secure barge board.

Teeth and throat: 0.8 mm Aluminium material with V-shaped gearbox oil transfer pipe.

Tail fin: Shaped coated titanium with nylon detailing.

Eyes: Outboard rear top wishbone bolt, part number FMX-02 with 6 mm OD 'diamond' inset.

Body: Carbon fibre, 2 x 2 twill 0.5 mm thick filled with two part polyurethane foam used in the initial making of the drivers seats.

Gills and detail: Rear wing adjustment lozenge part number 060 F2 109/110 P4 LH & RH detail 0.2 mm aero tape detailing with nylon underlay.

Mounting base: Permaglass plank part number 1081/D02 0119 used at the 2008 British GP, Rubens Barrichello, Chassis number RA 108 004 finish P3 (podium). Gearbox spray bar 060 B6 002 Takuma Sato Canadian GP 2005 (first ever gearbox change in a GP).
