This unique silver e-glass sculpture captures the presence and beauty of the three-step Kohaku Koi Carp.
All parts and materials used on this sculpture are from the F1 Honda Grand Prix Car.
Limited to one piece
Body: Silver e-glass 2 x 2 twill, 3 ply at 1.64 mm. From hand carved pattern.
Dorsal fin: Modified floor stays, part number 070 D2 023 with frosted tape vacuumed covered.
Underside fins: Stainless steel welding wire 1mm with frosted tape vacuumed covered.
Tail fin: Modified floor stays part number 1081 D02 0017 with frosted taped vacuumed covered.
Eyes: Rear top wishbone bolt, part number FMX 02, with machined aluminium button.
Nostrils: Captive nuts 040 D3 0005 used to secure barge board.
Mouth: Shaped and rolled 2.5 mm aluminium welding wire.
Barbels: Machined 2.5 mm aluminium welding wire.
Gills: Rear wing adjuster lozenge, 4 off each side, part number 080 F02 1128 RHS. 080 F02 1127 LHS.
Vent: –2, 90º polished titanium hydraulic fitting.
Mounting base: Permaglass FIA legality plank used at the 2008 British GP, Rubens Barrichello, finish P3, with cat flap actuator rod, part number 080 H05 1012.
